The restored three-acre shipyard site is contiguous with the museum’s site on the Kennebec River.Ivar Olsen, a native Scandanavian, and John Traynor, a 25-year-old seaman from Maine, crossed the Atlantic in a small dory on built at a Georgetown, Maine boatshop.
